THEATRE – FOOD PEOPLE

Just before the big harvest feast in a small village, the shoemaker of that village is to design new shoes for the headman’s wife. With all her hautain ways she is the bad girl of the village. She explodes when she learns her shoes have disappeared before delivery. While her dresser and helper start a search for the shoes, the first lady takes a misstep and her husband is too busy with the harvest festivities to understand what’s happening.

Food People is a spherical physical theatre myth about a tribe dressed in food with the audience eating small bits at the huge table cum stage. Shoes of egg plant, dresses of tomatoes and silver fish and an oversized table tell the timeless story of good, evil and the food issues in today’s world.
