2006, September 10th as we demanded the UN Summit in New York delivers on its promises! As part of the action of Global Call to Action Against Poverty White Band Day II, we set the ball rolling with a chain of 10 events across Africa Europe & N. America. When joining hands at sunset on the beach at Café del Mar IBIZA, or looking to the sky at The Africa Shrine Lagos or crossing Europe through Paris, Amsterdam, London, Edinburgh or over to New York, participants joined 40,000 people in solidarity. UpToYouToo coordinated the event in Amsterdam.
